![]() I still think $40.00 is too much for a mouse but after all I have been through I just need to shut the hell up and pretend it's water under the bridge. Once I installed it there were the same problems but I did the update and rebooted and it's like a new mouse. Logitechs forums said they recently fixed many issues with a new Setpoint patch so I swallowed my pride and re-bought the MX400, knowing all along it was the most comfortable for me. After a day my hand broke out in welts from the finish they used on it. Great mouse, weights are a gimmick for me but otherwise not bad. Then I blew the wad on the new version of the G5. Also did not feel it tracked all that well. Hated the top speed buttons being on opposite sides of the wheel and the wheel was very loud. The buttons were all mushier and it tracked horribly. I brought that mouse back and bought the new MS IE3.0 and the thing felt like I could crush it if I put too much weight on it. Ok, well here is the story so far or my mouse experience or better know as, "As the stomach spins"! I guess I could try this on my server, a totally different setup from mine to see if it's the mouse itself.īottom line is if the current driver works ok and 4.0 does not what are the chances it is a faulty mouse itself? If not then, as I said, what could be the overall ramifications if any of just sticking with v2.49a for now. They mainly see this if the mouse is used through a KVM switch so their first course was to ask if I had it plugged directly into the PC, which I do. What would/could be the ramifications of just using the older version I have till they get a fix. If this will not resolve lets go on in the usb port that you need to dismantle your laptop and check the usb port. Perhaps a $30 upgrade to the V400?Ĭan't afford that. Then reinstall the drivers and update it, be sure of the versions. Though of course you would have to do without a mouse wheel, which is quite disturbing.I switch back and forth between a MX700 and V400 mouse on a daily basis, and neither have problems with software. The only thing which you can do, on software side, is to deactivate actions from the mouse wheel so that it won't bother you anymore (I believe this can be done using AutoHotkey, more details on that if this solution interests you). But it's not something you can really fix by changing drivers or else. To me, it's likely that you will have to get a new one (sent by Logitech support or not). I suggested more intensive cleaning, but I doubt it will be enough. It could also be that sensors have a problem, and are simply misplaced or too sensitive. It could be that the "steps" which are originally on the wheel, are not holding correctly, and any move is turning it, even a bit. I didn't really mean that sensors are tired, rather that mechanical/physical parts could be, for example in the way the mouse wheel is "held". You can still call them, though.Įdit: Ok, "tired" was a bit too fast, I couldn't find the word I was looking for. Logitech SetPoint includes the latest drivers for your LogiTech mouse and/or keyboard. Total number of reviews for this software: 5. However, it seems that their mail support is currently being moved, and is unavailable until the 21st of september. This software DOES NOT support MX620 Cordless mouse. (They also send you feet for free, you only have to ask the support for this). The easiest way to update the driver is to use Advanced Driver Updater. You can get Logitech mouse drivers working and be able to update Logitech drivers for Windows 11,10. We hope to use the methods explained above. I have a very good experience of their support, they offered in the past to replace my mx1000 which had a malfunction. Get the Logitech Mouse Driver Updated and Fix Driver Related Issues. I recommend you to contact them, to explain the issue. X-Mouse Button Control lets you bind buttons to keyboard keys on a per-application basis and has many optional settings. The good point is that Logitech has an excellent support. The free X-Mouse Button Control may work as a replacement for SetPoint, and I did see threads suggesting it for the Logitech MX518 mouse. G HUB should then download the driver for your device. ![]() It should re-enumerate and be detected in G HUB. Unplug the device and plug it back into a different USB port. Because it is most likely due to the mouse wheel sensors being dirty, or simply "tired". If you use a newer logitech mouse that uses setpoint, I highly recommend you change the setting under Speed and Acceleration from OS Implementation to SetPoint. Check Delete the driver software for this device and then click Uninstall. I mean that or you will need to clean it more intensively, or you will need to get a new one.
